Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SpLD Education Consultancy website and your engagement of our assessment, intervention, training, and advocacy services. By booking a consultation, assessment, or any other service with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of a child or another individual, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
2. Our Services
We provide specialist assessment, intervention, training, and advocacy services relating to Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), including but not limited to dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia. Services are delivered by qualified specialists and are tailored to each individual's needs. Nothing on this website constitutes a diagnosis; a diagnosis is only issued following a formal assessment.
3. Bookings & Cancellations
Consultations and assessments must be booked in advance via our website or by contacting our team directly. We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, may incur a cancellation fee of up to the full cost of the session.
4. Fees & Payment
Fees for our services are confirmed in writing at the time of booking. Payment is due prior to or on the day of the appointment unless otherwise agreed with our team. We reserve the right to withhold a written report until payment has been received in full.
5. Client Responsibilities
To help us deliver an accurate and useful service, you agree to provide complete and accurate background information (including relevant school, medical, or previous assessment records where applicable) and to attend appointments on time. Assessment outcomes depend in part on the completeness of the information provided.
6. Reports & Confidentiality
Assessment reports and related documentation are prepared exclusively for the individual or organisation who commissioned them and are treated as confidential in line with our Privacy Policy. Reports may be shared with third parties (such as schools or examination boards) only with your written consent, or where we are required to do so by law.
7. Intellectual Property
All materials provided as part of our training or intervention services — including worksheets, guides, and resources — remain our intellectual property and are licensed to you for personal or educational use only. They may not be reproduced or distributed commercially without our written permission
8. Limitation of Liability
While we apply professional rigour and evidence-based practice to all our work, our recommendations are advisory. We are not liable for decisions made by third parties, including schools or examination boards, based on our reports, nor for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
