SpLD Education Consultancy ("we", "us", "our") provides specialist assessment, intervention, training, and advocacy services for individuals with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). We collect information you provide directly, including your name, contact details, and enquiry details submitted through our website forms or WhatsApp. Where you book an assessment or intervention, we also collect relevant educational, developmental, and (where shared) medical background information needed to carry out that work — including, where applicable, information about a child on whose behalf a parent or guardian is enquiring.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, schedule and deliver services, prepare assessment reports, process payments, and communicate with you about your engagement with us. We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we never sell your data.

We process personal data on the basis of consent, contractual necessity (to deliver the service you've booked), and legitimate interest in running our consultancy effectively. Where information relates to a child's learning or health needs, we treat it as special category data and rely on explicit consent from a parent, guardian, or the individual themselves where they have capacity to provide it.

5. Children's Data & Safeguarding
Where our services involve a child, we collect and process information about them with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, except where we are legally required to act without consent — for example, where we have a safeguarding concern. In such cases we may be obliged to share information with relevant authorities in line with our safeguarding responsibilities, regardless of consent.

6. Data Sharing
We only share personal information with third parties — such as schools, examination boards, or other professionals involved in a client's support — with explicit consent, or where required by law or safeguarding obligations. We do not share data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Data Retention
We retain personal and assessment data for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal and professional record-keeping obligations (including relevant safeguarding and educational-body retention requirements), after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, including restricting access to client records to staff directly involved in delivering your service.

Our website uses only essential cookies required for it to function. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies; if this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
