What is the difference between a screening and a full assessment?

A screening is a shorter, lower-cost indicator of likely SpLD traits. A full diagnostic assessment is a comprehensive evaluation carried out by a qualified specialist that results in a formal report, often required for exam access arrangements or formal support plans.

How long does an assessment take, and when will we get the report?

Most assessments take 2.5–3 hours, with a written report following within 10–15 working days. We're always happy to talk through the findings on a follow-up call.

Do you work directly with schools as well as families?

Yes. We partner with schools on individual pupil assessments, staff training, and whole-school SpLD strategy, alongside our work with families and adult learners.

Can you help with exam access arrangements?

Yes, our assessments include the evidence needed to apply for exam access arrangements such as extra time or the use of a reader or scribe, in line with awarding body requirements.
